We’ve hit Summer Tuesday in the Valicer Chill Save as of this update, and it’s another busy one, what with Smiler’s pre-SimCity Founding Weenie Roast coming up in the afternoon! But first, you may remember that we left the gang last week dealing with a bit of a situation -- namely, Temperance having shown up and, before being scared away by one of their many bizarre idols, doing a ceremony that summoned a couple of fire-breathing specters! Alice was fortunately wolf-napping outside and thus unaware of the situation, so it was up to Victor and Smiler to take care of these furious blobs! And fortunately, they came prepared -- Victor with one of his many jars of honey, Smiler with a nice fresh glass of merlot. The pair entered the seance room and presented their gifts --

Smiler’s was accepted. Victor’s was not. *sigh* At least Smiler got the family some more wraith wax to make candles with? And both specters did end up disappearing in the end, just Victor’s one insisted on making a bit of a fuss first. I decided maybe the thing to do was to have Victor check the spiritual serenity of the house --

Only to look outside first, spot Elmer still going in the greenhouse, and be like “SHIT HOW LONG HAS THAT BOT BEEN ON?!” Because, uh, I believe they EXPLODE if they run out of battery and durability. . .so yeah, first things first, Smiler batted down to the greenhouse and shut Elmer off to tune them up later, THEN Victor started his ceremony. It went well, and the game insisted that the spiritual serenity of the house was pretty good, with “happy haunts.” Not sure how much I believe you, game, but okay!

Anyway, with that taken care of, Alice could finally awaken from her wolf nap and turn back to normal (with a creeping sense that something was up, as you can probably tell from her expression XD). I directed her to do some recycling before checking in on Smiler’s tune-up efforts --

Only to find them talking to another, friendlier specter in the barn, with Victor on his way to do the same. *grumbles* I redirected them down to poor beat-up Elmer on the workbench and decided that what Victor REALLY needed to do was use his sketchpad to make this specter a nice painting. He got a little distracted halfway through by Smiler’s presence (gotta cheer the Pristine reputation vampire :p), but mostly I was able to keep him on-task. . .

Cyberpunk 2077 Gangs (The Sims 4): Maelstrom inspired MORE SIMS 4 CYBERPUNK STUFF

Inspired by Maelstrom but obviously I was limited. I didn't copy any particular character or NPC just the overall "creepy-cyborg-terminator-madmax" vibe. I used less baldness, less Hitler hair-dos, etc made them a bit more simple and stylised to my liking. I think they look a bit more anime lol. I tried to compensate with more piercings, spikes, scars, supernatural veiny skins and stuff for my lack of intense cyborg cyberware they have. I know the spider lady is a bit weird but I liked the spider legs in their graffiti logo and tried to include it imagining it's some sort of cyberware body mod. I found this cool Sims 3 CC but no ts4 conversion unfortunately. So just did my best, the light emitting contacts really helped. Overall I like how they turned out. Might make them creepy vampires haha or maybe make more "scary" looking ones later ╰(*°▽°*)╯This Totentanz build by Hamsterbellbelle is where I'm making them live (I'll probably build something in the basement) along with Littlemssam's live in business mod (so that it functions as a club even though it's residential)

I cleared the tail end of Book 4 and all of Book 5 two days ago so fair warning, I'm still not completely aware of all the ins and outs of Ortho and Idia. And I might have to redo some of my Pomefiore headcanons with Book 5 in mind, namely Rook??? Whose apparently from Sunset Savanna??? Anyways, onto the designs...

🎮Idia Shroud🎮

(he/it) Unlabelled Gender - Achillic Asexual

Ah, the most relatable character in Twisted Wonderland...

- I don't think I really changed a whole lot about him physically, tbh. Gave him slightly bluer skin and dark makeup. I figured he's kinda one of the closest characters to like alt fashion and stuff so I slapped some piercings on him.

- You can't see them with his GIANT MESS OF HAIR but I gave him some piercings. I'll just grab a pic of them rq.

No bald Idia today guys.

- He's autistic. Is that even up for debate at this point? Either way, I feel like he'd actually hate having hair against his neck and typically put it into a ponytail or something. That shit would be hella warm otherwise, fire or no.

- He plays dating sims religiously but god forbid someone ACTUALLY flirts with him. In the unlikely scenario that he actually realises they're hitting on it, he just freaks out and runs, physically if possible. I think he's unintentionally shut people down hard because he cannot fathom why anyone would like it.

- He has to fight his demons whenever he see any of the people with cat ears which me too me too. Ignihyde actually has a bit of a stray cats issue, namely because Idia sets out food and water for them and refuses to let anyone take them away. They never get into the workshops or anywhere dangerous and Idia has named all of them.

- He has unique names not only for the stray cats of Ignihyde but also for all of the ones in his games, in specific his Minecraft cats.

- It's actually in the process of making a robotic cat as a sort of emotional support animal since a live cat isn't allowed in classes due to allergies (which Grim is exempt from due to him not technically being a cat and not producing allergens, fun fact).

- Oh! And I headcanon him as Greek and Japanese. Forgot that oops. Nationality-wise he'd be Australian though.

I was struggling to think of things that were just canon facts of his character already, which, to be fair, some of this could be but moving onto...

🦾Ortho Shroud🦾

(they/it/he) Nonbinary???

I actually adore how they came out omg. I have no really experience with robot/cyborg character design so I gave myself some liberties.

- First and for most, I made a lot of its robot features more obvious with panelling that would make it easy for Idia to access any brain or vocal mechanics. You cannot convince me that Idia, known for liking video games and anime, would pass up an opportunity to make Ortho look cool asf. Or maybe Book 6 can but for now, panels.

- I don't know if it's ever brought up in detail Ortho's like material components and stuff but I think they're made with the anti-magic stuff Charon's ferrymen have, further enhanced and durable. His freckles help with sensing particularly smell and temperature.

- His eyes took a bit of inspiration from Genoa, I just though a black sclera would look super cool tbh.

- It's hair is a bit crazier and I wanted to lowkey emulate Medusa vibes with it and the soulless eyes lol.

Not much else right now but I know damn well Book 6 will make me cry... Time for the ocs!

🪻Fuji Izanami🪻

Third Year - (she/he) Bigender - Bisexual

- So, a bit of a disclaimer, I've never actually seen Hercules because I was a Greek mythology nerd and was offended by the inaccuracies lol so keep that in mind with the ocs for this dorm. Fuji is my Cerberus character!

- He's the vice-housewarden of Ignihyde and tends to help out with Ortho's upgrades by moving the heavier parts that Idia can't lift.

- Since I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, Cerberus means 'spots', I wanted her to have a ton of freckles as an omage.

- She's fully Japanese and has been a childhood friend of the Shrouds, with both families going way back. He was kind of Idia's emotional support before Ortho was allowed as well as a bit of a bodyguard. She and Ortho were the reason Idia didn't have to attend with a mass guard force.

- Quiet and seems quite menacing at first but is a huge softie and loves to be around other people. She and Jack are workout buddies and bond over common music tastes in the J-Pop and K-Pop genres.

- When she's talking to Idia or Ortho, it tends to be in Japanese (neglecting that the game is set to Japanese, imagine the default is like a common tongue or something lol).

- He specialises in heavier mech tech, developing protective wear and other durable things to work with. She hopes to intern with Charon eventually and work to study the containment of blot.

Now for another set of triplets, these ones all in Ignihyde...

🕰️Ye-Jin Ryu🕰️

Second Year - (she/her) - Sapphic

So these next three characters are representative of the Fates, they're Korean.

- Ye-Jin is my 'past' character. I styled her hair is an older-fashioned wavy cut and gave her some classy pearl earrings to give that 🌸vintage aesthetic🌸.

- Her primary skill set and interest is in re-purposing older things and upgrading them i.e. keeping the older aesthetic but making the mechanisms modern and remove the fear that it'll break down from overuse and whatnot.

- As such, she's a sucker for antiques and older fashion trends, mostly consisting of long skirts and formal wear. That being said, she still wears properly protective gear w an working on one of her projects.

- A hobby of hers is photography and she loves both actually taking photos as well as experimenting with different kinds of old cameras. She's a part of a photography club and also has a photo wall in her room.

- Never one to slack, she enjoys journalling and writing letters in her pass time as well. A hopeless romantic, she and Chanda share a class and Ye-Jin writes little posty notes for her.

Second Year - (she/they) - Heteroromantic Bisexual

- Ji-Ho is the present and reflects a more modern Korean makeup style and haircut. I think she'd have reading glasses but only wear them when necessary.

- She has an interest in modern technology and pushing its limits. Adding more storage to a computer than typically offered, making a car even more gas efficient, that kind of stuff.

- They like a combination of things but are actually a part of the Spelldrive Club. She wanted to try something new and expand their bases. It gave her some insight for a recent interest in prosthetics she's developed.

Second Year - (she/they/it) Agender - Pansexual

- Dae is the future! I gave her more sci-fi-y makeup and a bit more flare in its hairstyle. Some piercings and ta dah!

- They specialise in bio-tech. Looking at nature to modify scientific approaches and being more environmentally friendly. Sustainability is a top priority for Dae.

- She wants to eventually make basic resources easily accessible to all and is doing its best to work out a solution. They're connecting the dots lol.

- Dae is a part of the hiking club and loves being around nature as much if not more than being in her lab. They often go hiking with Chunying on weekends.

💀Cooper Benoit💀

First Year - (they/he) Nonbinary - Queer

- Cooper is twisted from Barrel and is the last of the Benoit family to be introduced. They are a very booksmart person and a math nerd.

- He's also disabled and typically uses a wheelchair. As such, they have been working on trying to improve the school's general accessibility as even with magic, NRC's campus can be difficult to navigate in a wheelchair.

- Similarly to Idia, Cooper is a total cat person and he and Idia take care of the strays together. Cooper's slowly memorising the names lmao.

Foster Household: Chapter 9, Part 4

Carson can hear the music before he gets in the building. It may be freezing cold but as he steps inside the heat from students bustling about and dancing has warmed the place up. First port of call, the voting booth. He doesn’t recognise most of the names on the ballot, they’re probably the older students, but he does an obligatory tick for the ones he’s seen the most posters for. Turning around he searches for Onyx and finds them standing on the edge of the dancefloor.

Carson: Hey

Onyx: *pulls funny face* This is boring. Why are we here again?

Carson: blah blah important teen milestones blah blah

Onyx: Hmm, so how’d your appointment go? Feeling less... compulsive?

Carson: Not yet, it’ll take time I guess

Onyx: Did you talk to him about... you know? Wait was it even a him in the end?

Carson: It was a him called Chad

Onyx: Chad? A Chad that's a counsellor?

Carson: He looked like he’d taken a break from surfing to be there, but he was a pretty good listener

Onyx: Did he help with dating issues

Carson: Basically he was like, you’re young, don’t be stressing about woohoo right now, ask her out if you want. But he mentioned something called being asexual that I might look into

Onyx said a quick hi to Ariadne but sped off leaving Carson alone to talk to her.

Ariadne: Imagine seeing you here

Carson: *laughs* I’m sorry about jetting off this afternoon but I had scouts and the ferry can be a hassle

Ariadne: Oh? How long have you been a scout

Carson: Since I started school. My older sister Keira did it and it looked like fun so I gave it a go. I’m actually a Llamacorn scout, I’ve earned every badge there is to get

Ariadne: Very impressive. Do you want to grab a seat? It’s a bit loud just here

Carson nodded but he really wanted to say he’d love to.

The pair sat down and watched some of the other students dancing. William and Darwin were trying to master the robot while Onyx had managed to pull Zharfira on to the dance floor.

Carson: You look really nice Ariadne

Ariadne: Aww, thanks. Alexander wanted me to have a simple dress and save for senior prom but James let me go for the sparkly one. He says you only live once

Carson: Definitely the right choice

Ariadne: So I imagine it takes a lot of work to get to be a... what was it again? Llama scout

Carson: Ah, Llamacorn

Ariadne: What is a Llamacorn

Carson: Honestly, not certain. I imagine it to be a llama with a unicorn horn

Ariadne giggled and Carson felt himself get more confident.

Carson: Uh, I might grab a bite to eat, do you want anything?

Ariadne: Thanks but I’m okay, if I eat I’ll just spill it on my dress

Carson went to the buffet and looked over the offerings. The meat options looked dodgy, they were probably not stored at the proper temperature. No, no, they were food poisoning waiting to happen. But a desert? Surely a fruit tart would be safe. Turning back to the tables he noticed an unwelcome sim had moved near Ariadne and was talking to her. Squaring his shoulders, he returned.

Artemisia: If you wanted I could show- oh, Carson

Carson: Hi Artemisia. Would you like to join us

Artemisia: *scoffs* You're not here together. Ariadne you could do so much better than four eyes. Not leagues better but better

Carson: Aww, are my see through frames not fooling you? How sad

Artemisia: Ugh, why do you have to be so calm? It takes all the fun out of it

Carson: I’ve been dealing with your snark since we were toddlers, I can survive it

Ariadne: *surprised* You two go that far back?

Artemisia: We’re not friends but our siblings are so yeah, we know each other. Knew Carson here when he first begun to poop himself

Carson: You’re not my friend? I might cry

Artemisia: Shut up. You look like a marshmallow in that suit, pink and round. Haven’t you ever heard of exercise? Tell me you don't find him attractive Ariadne. I'd give him a 2 at most

Carson wanted to get back to flirting but Artemisia seemed content to stay and have Ariadne’s attention. It didn’t help that alongside her looks she could turn the charm on when it suited her. He didn’t think Artemisia really liked Ariadne, most likely she just wanted to annoy him. Eventually distraction arrived.

Roger: You ready for that dance Ariadne

Ariadne: *smiling* I’d love to

Carson felt his heart sink, why couldn’t he have offered first. He disliked dancing but the chance to hold her hand... But like normal Roger and Artemisia couldn’t be in talking distance without an argument occurring, and began to bicker over outfits before Ariadne could stand up.

As the bickering continued Carson took the opportunity to talk to Ariadne again. He may not get much more time tonight.

Carson: So, I mean, if you enjoyed the sun and sand today you could always stop by my house tomorrow? I live within walking distance of a ton of beaches and it could help you get some warm in before the school week

Ariadne: I-

Roger: You’re a piece of trash Artemisia!

Artemisia: Projecting again are we Roger?

Roger predictably stormed off and Ariadne got up to go after him, speaking over her shoulder.

Ariadne: Friend me on social bunny and I’ll let you know what my day is like

Artemisia: I will

Carson: She wasn’t talking to you

Artemisia: Keep telling yourself that, we know no one would choose you when I'm around

Saw this tag game on another post and thought I'd do it (idk if I've done it before, maybe something similar, but my answers will be different anyway)

1. Were you named after anyone?

Nope My chosen name (Allister) however, is from a youtuber who has a very cool name and I stole it (Alasdair Beckett-King, very funny videos and he has great hair too). I adapted it a bit so people in Spain would at least have an idea of how to pronounce it at first glance (hopefully) It has nothing to do with any Crowley (which I did not realize was a thing until recently), tho for a bit I named myself AJ like Good Omens Crowley, but I don't like how it sounds in Spanish...

2. When was the last time you cried?

Last month probably

3. Do you have kids?

No. And I don't want any. I don't dislike them, but it's not for me

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

Judo, karate and football (the indoors kind). All as a kid/teen. Now my brother and I walk every week day and go up and down stairs (when we remember...) One day I want to try to go to a gym to get some muscle, but not too much, just a bit of definition. Also, I'd enjoy doing rock climbing, but not competitive climbing or anything like that

6. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Irl: the way they move their face and hands when they speak, which then I subconsciously use to recognize people, bc I'm a bit face blind Online: the way they choose to express themselves

Gray/light blue on the outside and artichoke green/lime on the inside

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

I like both, but I'd rather watch a happy ending. For scary things I prefer to watch Markiplier's scary games videos

I'm VERY good at jigsaw puzzles

10. Where were you born?

East of Spain, by some of the best Mediterranean coasts 😁. I enjoy it here, but one day I'd like to live in the UK, at least for a bit, I think I'd like it there

11. What are your hobbies?

Listening to music, singing, making art (crafting, building, drawing, painting, writing, ...), watching media (shows, panel shows, youtube, twitch), video games (rhythm/dancing, platformer, puzzle... Also minecraft, powerwash sim, potion craft...), going for walks, exercise, learning languages (especially English) If I had any good ones close, I'd go to theatres and museums too. And, if I had money, I'd travel. I'm also slowly learning about taking care of plants

12. Do you have any pets?

Not yet. I'd love to have dogs, cats, frogs, snakes... or anything really. I love animals. But I think cats and frogs would be the best fit for me, considering my personality and current lifestyle I've always wanted a dog, but I've only had a turtle and a hamster

Biology and technology

15. Dream job?

Anything that pays me enough to be independent and let me do all my hobbies Although, if I ever have the patience, base skill, and required mental fortitude, I'd go for general robotics and/or prop making (for film and/or theatre)

We’ve made it to Winter Monday in the Chill Valicer Save, aka “the update where I had to start over like a real-life half-hour in because Victor started glitching and wouldn’t stop.” :( Yeah, I’m not sure WHAT happened, but at one point during my initial session, I gave Victor a command but then canceled it out so he could do something else (I think I traded “do some recycling” for “get the blackberries you fizzed”) -- and he stopped right in front of the front stairs and started rapidly glitching in and out of a t-pose for no reason. I attempted to have Smiler and Alice talk to him, but no dice -- and resetting him with MC Command Center didn’t work either. I exited without saving, and the bug didn’t repeat itself, but it was a VERY worrying moment to be sure!

However, as I said, exited without saving, and I managed to get through the day on my second attempt without Victor doing whatever it was he was doing, so here’s how the day ACTUALLY went for the trio:

-->Smiler had some early “pet cuteness” moments, going in for a cuddle with Kelly (getting an excellent shot of her heterochromia in the process!), before recording a confident vlog with Shadow snoozing away behind them. The pets seem to love them, which is not a surprise as Smiler is the most lovable person on Earth according to Sims logic. XD

-->Alice and Victor eventually got up for the day -- Alice transformed and ran off for a hunt, as she does, while Victor showered, then went and gave one of the local specters a jar of honey as a present, as he has like fifty million of them from his bees. XD The specter was pleased and gave Victor a blob of wraith wax in return, nice! So now Victor has loads of spectral candles in his inventory should he need them.

-->Alice came back with her meat, and she and Victor had a nice chat on the porch (briefly interrupted by the house making some spooky noises). Gotta always remind your werewolf wife that you love her!

-->Smiler, meanwhile, raced down to the greenhouse after they’d finished vlogging, and activated their gardening bot Elmer to help out Victor with his gardening! Mostly because, after realizing I’d missed an opportunity to unleash the party bot, I didn’t want to have THAT utili-bot just cluttering up Smiler’s inventory! These darn things were made to be used after all!

-->And then it was Smiler’s turn to tend to the chickens and make sure they had enough feed and such -- while Alice introduced her werewolf form to the pets! How well did that go?
